Pet grooming

Whatever the size or breed, dog or cat, The Village Animal Grooming Parlour, based in our Caterham hospital, caters for all.

As well as general grooming, bathing, and drying, all animals are clipped and we will scissor into shape as per your requirements. For certain breeds we offer hand-stripping.

We use a range of shampoos and conditioners for different coats, including a medicated and brightening shampoo.

We clean ears, eyes and nails and we can also check your animals anal glands and empty if necessary – let’s be honest this is not something you want to do if someone else can do it for you!

We aim to take no longer than two hours per animal and will telephone you when your pet is ready to go home. If you are unable to collect straight away don’t worry – we have warm and comfortable surroundings where your animal can have a nap until you arrive.

If you have a new puppy it is advisable to bring them in as soon as they have completed their initial course of vaccinations, this allows them to become familiar with the grooming process and means that they can enjoy the experience. In certain cases very nervous animals can be sedated prior to grooming by our in-house fully qualified vets.

Whilst you’re dropping your pet off have a browse around our well stocked pet shop with its wide range of combs, brushes, beds, foods, treats and toys. Should you require something we do not stock we would be happy to order it for you.

Sarah and Sue, our experienced and qualified groomers and Vicky our experienced grooming assistant, are on hand for any questions you may have relating to your animal. We look forward to seeing you this year at the Village Groomers.
