We are relieved to confirm that progress has been made with the refurbishment work over the last two weeks. The plumbing and boiler have been replaced and the re-decorating is well underway. As a result, our opening day is being brought forward to:
Monday 9th December 2019!
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and your pet and we will keep you updated.
Whilst Tanhouse is closed, please contact our main hospital at Caterham or our branches at Merstham and Smallfield for any appointments, food orders, repeat prescriptions and general pet advice.
Introducing our new vet!
We are also delighted to introduce our lovely new vet – Charlotte Surridge – who will be working solely at Tanhouse from 9th December.
Charlotte’s passion has always been Veterinary Science. At 18 she left the UK to undertake a Veterinary degree in Australia. She graduated from Sydney University with Honours in 2006 and has over ten years’ experience working in Small Animal clinics throughout Australia.
In 2009 Charlotte completed a year-long post graduate course in Small Animal Oncology. Helping to treat cats and dogs with cancer remains one of her passions today. Her other interests include small animal medicine and dentistry.
Charlotte returned to the UK in 2017 and worked at a busy Small Animal clinic in Kent. After having her third child she has returned to practice and will be joining our team at Tanhouse where she is excited to build up the practice and get to know all of the clients and their pets.
Outside of work, Charlotte is kept busy by her three daughters; her husband; and her very troublesome ginger cat called Arnold. Arnold is a big fan of the UK countryside and its harvest spiders, which he delights in bringing home to show mum!
She is excited about joining the Village Veterinary Group team on Monday 9th December and looking forward to meeting all our wonderful patients and clients at Tanhouse.
